A friend and fellow photog buddy took the time out of her and her family's busy schedule to travel all the way from Michigan to good ol' central PA. Jill's son Nolan and my son Shawn were both born June 2006 and her daughter Violet and my son Landon are only a month apart. During her stay how could we not swap family photo shoots!?

I have watched my best friend's daughter, whom I love as my own niece, grow and blossom into this tiny tot with a not so tiny personality. The bond that we have established since her birth is amazing. Watching her face light up when I great her... arms stretched out for me to hold her... and smiles galore when our silly antics begin... all memorable moments to treasure as her infant stage will turn to toddler-hood in the blink of an eye. Happy 9 months, sweetheart!

Pirates & Princess Party

The 94kx Cares for Kids Radioathon was held this month to raise money for an amazing charity... The Children's Miracle Network!

It was not only an honor, but a privilege to be asked to shoot for the Pirates and Princess Party held on Sunday, August 2nd. This magical world of pirate treasures and prettifying princesses was all made possible by the time, talent, and kindness of local patrons. Please visit the 94kx website for more information.

Life's Messy...

Why bother cleaning up when you can have a mini shoot right in your own kitchen!? Mr. Mess Maker gave me a run for my money tonight at dinner. Spaghetti was everywhere... hair, nose, belly, toes... and floor!

Now, tonight's little incident has sparked a contest idea! Who wants to see their little one be a Rawlings Photography Mess Maker Star? The first person to refer TWO friends to me who book a session will win a FREE Mess Maker Photoshoot with their little one & framed 10x20 storyboard of their messy experience. Contest age for the photo star is 6 months-24 months. Deadline to have your two "refer a friends" is September 30th. Get refering!







I'd like to proudly introduce to you our newest family member... 8 week old Canon. Canon is a labradoodle puppy that we have very high hopes for in the future. His puppy training will begin next month and by the time he is a year we hope to have him started in a training program to be a therapy dog for children and elderly. It is my hope to have Canon by my side to assist me with some charity shoots and fundraising that Rawlings Photography will be getting involved in. I have been so blessed with an amazing family and the ability to do what I love as a photographer and it is important to me to take those blessing and give back to others. This is going to be an exciting adventure with Canon!

With the move underway, so much to be done, and Jon's vacation in sight we had a certain song stuck in our heads:

"Na na na na na na na na... Who ya gonna call?"

No, not the Ghostbusters... Pops! Jon's Dad flew in from Idaho last week to spend some father/son bonding time showing Jon the ropes on many household fixit jobs that needed done around here. This experience was something out of the movies. Watching Grandfather, Son, and Grandson(s) "play" with their tools having some serious male bonding time was just priceless.

Thank you so much Pops for all of your help, time, and most important... memories. We all miss you terribly and can't wait for next year to see you both!

Kendra & Kids

The past few months have been both wonderful and hectic in my personal life as well as the photog business. We are finally moved into our new home and loving it here. My next venture is going to be scouting out some awesome locations for upcoming shoots.

Last week I had the wonderful opportunity to shoot the 94kx Cares for Kids Radioathon Pirates and Princess Party. This was an honor and privileged to be asked to join in with such an amazing charity. Keep watching the photog site for pictures and news from the very enchanting party! All proceeds from the event will go to the Children's Miracle Network/Janet Weis Children's Hospital.
